K2A takes over management of 199 apartments in Luleå

K2A Knaust & Andersson Fastigheter has entered into an agreement with Akademiska Hus, resulting in K2A being responsible for letting and managing 199 student apartments in Luleå, northern Sweden. The agreement relates to Akademiska Hus property Polstjärnan and runs for three years from 1 June 2023.

Polstjärnan consists of 199 apartments for 266 students and researchers in the centre of the campus area, close to the university's activities, communications and services. K2A already has an agreement for the management and letting of student apartments owned by Akademiska Hus on Campus Ultuna in Uppsala.

"K2A aims to offer student housing across Sweden. This will allow us to offer those in our housing queue the greatest possible flexibility on student housing in different locations. This agreement enables us to provide student housing in another important university city," said Johan Knaust, CEO of K2A.

"To reduce the shortage of student housing, Akademiska Hus is working hard to create more housing for students and researchers on campuses across Sweden. We're pleased to be expanding our collaboration with K2A, a property manager that shares our high quality standards and ambitions in the area of sustainability," said Anna Alsborger, Property Director at Akademiska Hus.
