The development rights are situated on Timmervägen in Bromma, five kilometres west of Stockholm Central Station. Timmervägen runs through a collection of small houses in the attractive residential area of Stora Mossen with many good transport connections thanks to its immediate proximity to Alvik, which offers retail as well as metro, buses and tram connections. K2A intends to construct four buildings, between four and six storeys high, with a total of 200 student apartments and a lettable area of about 4,300 square metres.
“Timmerfallet is the result of hard work focused on Stockholm and a strong market position with climate-smart rental apartments. Timmerfallet is K2A’s third development right in Stockholm that has been added to the project portfolio in 2022,” says Johan Knaust, CEO of K2A.
Upon completion of the project portfolio K2A will manage just over 1,200 apartments in the City of Stockholm. Including Stockholm’s neighbouring municipalities, this figure rises to 2,500 apartments, corresponding to almost one-fourth of the number of apartments in K2A’s total property and project portfolio. This makes Stockholm K2A’s larges geographic sub-market.
The new buildings will be environmentally certified under the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. The ambition is that the buildings will qualify for the dark green environmental classification based on CICERO’s methodology, which is also used as a basis in the classification of K2A’s Green Equity Framework, corresponding to the highest environmental classification.
