Today, the winner of the Sustainable Leadership Award, presented by the Swedish Association for Sustainable Business to a Swedish business leader who has contributed to successful sustainability work in their organisation or in society at large, is being announced. The presenter of the award is Johan Knaust, CEO of K2A, who won the award last year and has been on the jury this year.
“The jury work was a enjoyable and rewarding, but challenging at the same time,” says Johan Knaust. “There are many talented business leaders who place sustainability at the core of their leadership, so the competition has been tough, but I think we’ve found a very worthy winner.”
The three nominees are Henrik Nilsson, CEO and founder of Inrego; Liza Jonson, CEO of Swedbank Robur; and Lotta Giesenfeld Boman, CEO and owner of Sigtunahöjden. This was the 24rd year that the Sustainable Leadership Award was presented, and previous winners include Percy Barnevik of the Hand in Hand foundation and Karl-Johan Persson, then CEO and now Chair of the Board of H&M.
